Located in the heart of Lagos on R. Marreiros Netto 78, Alina's Bica is a charming cafeteria that perfectly embodies the essence of Portuguese culture. A hidden gem known mainly to locals, this cozy spot offers a unique and authentic culinary experience that is not to be missed.

With a delightful menu spotlighting traditional Portuguese cuisine, Alina's Bica is the place to indulge in deliciously hearty dishes. Food enthusiasts will rave about the veal stroganoff—a rich, flavorful dish that boasts tender meat enveloped in a creamy sauce, served alongside fluffy rice. Paired with a perfectly cooked omelette, it’s a meal that warms both body and soul. For a sweet treat, the pastel de nata is a must-try; as one delighted customer, Oana Sofronia, described, it’s simply the best!

The atmosphere at Alina's Bica is by far one of its strongest attractions. The ambiance is intimate and unpretentious, creating a welcoming space where laughter and conversation flow freely—much like the drinks served here. Guests can enjoy their time sipping on refreshing beverages while mingling with friendly locals, adding an invaluable community feel to every visit. One review highlights a delightful experience during a sunny afternoon, marked by a spontaneous hat party among welcoming patrons, showcasing the spirited camaraderie intrinsic to the Algarve region.

What truly elevates the experience at Alina's Bica is the warmth and humor of its owner, Alina. Many visitors have praised her for going above and beyond to ensure a memorable visit, contributing significantly to the café's charm. As Thomas Unander-Scharin notes, the service is quick, the portions generous, and the prices incredibly fair, making it an excellent value for your money. With cash-only transactions and no food service after 4:00 PM, it’s essential to plan your visit accordingly—though the cozy atmosphere invites you to linger longer just to soak in the local flavor and friendly vibes.

Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or spending a leisurely afternoon sipping drinks, Alina's Bica is the perfect spot to escape the more tourist-heavy establishments. Come for the authentic food, stay for the exceptional service and warm community spirit—it’s this combination that makes Alina's Bica a truly special place to experience the heart and soul of Lagos.

Alina’s Bica is a very local spot in Lagos that serves authentic Portuguese food. It is quiet, mostly filled with locals, which is always a good sign. We had the veal stroganoff and an omelette. Both were tasty, with generous portions and fair prices. Alina was warm, welcoming and has a great sense of humour, which made the experience even better. If you want real, fuss-free and delicious food fare, this is your spot. I would happily come back.

We only had drinks but they were really good. The atmosphere was amazing and we were invited by other customers to stay. They were having a hat party. Everyone was wearing hats and having drinks in the afternoon sun. It really reflected the spirit and friendliness of the people in the algarve region. We met a few very kind people here and the owner, who makes everything by herself, is very polite and kind too. Would definitely recommend for an aperol stop.

Looks like a hole-in-the-wall place but always with customers. Always looking for surprises so we decided to have a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Quick service, great food with large portions and very attractive prices. Two beers and two entrees €22 is what i call a good deal. No food after 16.00 but open until 20.00. We will be back. Cash only!

We were in Lagos for a few days last week and came across Alina's. Its a real local gem with good beer, good local food and good prices. The owner loves what she does and is very genuine. Many thanks from the Irish visitors, especially from the one that loves dancing :-)

Tucked away in the heart of a charming little street in Lagos, this bar is an absolute gem. It’s cozy, welcoming, and full of character—made even more special by the owner, who is always there with a warm smile and genuinely great conversations. You don’t just stop in for a drink, you stay for the atmosphere and leave feeling like you’ve made a new friend. A must-visit spot if you want to experience the true soul of Lagos.

Alina is the hostess from heaven. Don't be fooled she's no push over. Her bar was an amazing little find. An eclectic clientele ...International ... food, drink (fab rose sangria) and amazing atmosphere. Everyone is made to feel welcome from the moment they arrive. Banter is brill and always someone to talk to. Nothing is a problem, and personal taste catered for.
